Personas

Persona for sports equipment development. Information summarized based on QB and RB injury reports and news of the last 5 NFL seasons.

The research was developed to explore a development opportunity that can assist pet owners in tracking multiple levels of their pet's health and understanding their needs. Performed interviews and surveys with 16 pet owners to discover pain points related to health, diagnostics, and insurance claims complexity. The variety of breeds was considered to select participants.

Research developed on product customer reviews of Glucose measurement devices and an unstructured interview of 12 kids ages between 8 to 14 years old.

Visual Stories
Gesture elicitation study description using a visual story.
The study evaluated participants recreating gestures created by themselves as if they were interacting with 3D content in an environment augmented with virtual objects.

Space Distribution
Reorganize research space to accommodate multiple HCI researchers from different disciplines. The space had to provide meeting space, workstations, a temporary work area for undergrad students, a testing area, and a multifunctional fabrication space. Additionally, the distribution had to consider Covid-19 regulations.

Design of a Hand Mixer
Design of a hand mixer and identification of potential areas of opportunity. The project targeted safety, ergonomics, functionality, and manufacturing. The blender design can be used in two different positions to accommodate multiple types of applications and users. The objective of the design was to allow users to select their preferred type of grasping depending on their applications, height, and position.

Hand Wearables Prototyping
Hand wearables prototyping process to extract parameters and templates for the design of interactive adhesive gloves. The goal was to determine the main features needed to personalize hand wearables for any user in terms of anatomical constraints and interactions.

Vision for AR and Wearables Application
In this collection, I share some ideas representing applications using smart glasses and wearables to interact with augmented environments. It is challenging to create wearables that merge with current fashion trends and activities into usable and socially acceptable accessories and garments. The concept focuses on understanding the user and their activities to augment everyday work and tasks with virtual content.

Audio and Video Cabinet
The goal was to centralize the audio and video of the entertainment room. For this project, we considered the space available, the shape, the technical requirements and the frequency of use. The room hosts karaoke, movies, video game nights, and casual meetings. The cabinet designed was created as a multifunctional piece of furniture (table and cabinet). It contains a video game console, cable tv, and audio distribution controls.

Entertainment Room
The room The room hosts karaoke, movies, video game nights, and casual meetings.
The black paint of the room was defined to improve the visual quality of the projector during movie nights The L shape room has 35 m² with walls of 3 m tall.

Cardboard & Woodwork
A Collection of some small projects developed using wood and cardboard as a base material. The projects were developed by hand and using a laser cutter.

Ironman Helmet
The Ironman helmet was built by folding cardstock templates. To create the rigid final shape, I used around 4 layers of Bondo, and reinforced internally with one additional layer of plaster cloth gauze.
